Grove Field
Located in beautiful Clark County, Grove Field is three miles north of Camas, Washington. As you fly into the area, you will be delighted at the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest. To the south of the airport, you will see Lacamas Lake and the Columbia River, "gateway to the Gorge." Grove Field is open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serves the communities of Camas/Washougal and the nearby city of Vancouver, Washington (USA). Grove Field is publicly owned by the Port of Camas/Washougal.
Geography
Clark County has 628 square miles of land, bounded on the East by the Cascades including Mt. Adams (12,276 ft), Mt. Hood (11,245 ft) and Mt. St. Helens (8,345 ft). To the south and west by the mighty Columbia River and the state of Oregon. To the North by the Lewis River, Lakes Merwin and Yale and Cowlitz County.The Columbia River is Clark County's most prominent feature. This river is the main artery for the largest watershed in the West. The Columbia features several active ports and lots of recreational activities. The highest point in Clark County is Silver Star Mountain at 4,295 ft, the lowest point is approximately 20 feet at the Columbia River. Clark County features several 'plains' each at higher elevations starting at the Columbia River and working north to Battle Ground at approximately 500 feet.
