BOAT LAUNCH WALKWAYS

Designed and built in-house over the last 6+months, all in-water boat launch walkways have been replaced. The upland ramps are next to be replaced. The process for each 20’x5’ steel walkway/float consists of frame fabrication, galvanizing, assembly, removal of the old, and installation of the new float. Construction is labor intensive, with each one taking approximately 40 man-hours from start to finish.

Always mindful of the popularity of the ramp, removal of the old floats and installation of the new has been scheduled around high-use times.

Rather than using wood and Styrofoam, the new floating launch ramp walkways are constructed of galvanized steel and fiberglass decks with poly-encapsulated foam pellets that will last much longer with little maintenance. In addition to a maintenance-free structure, and a longer useful life, the launch ramp floats will be safer for public use.

Public Boat Launch

Located on the Columbia River, the Port's public, 4-lane launch ramp is open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Users may take advantage of our many amenities, including the fuel station, Port store, and public restrooms.

  • $7.00 Daily Fee (Midnight to Midnight)
  • $45.00 Annual Permit (Non-Marina Tenant)
  • $25.00 Annual Permit (Seniors 62+ or w/Permanent Disability*)
  • $5.00 Per Add'l/Replacement Permit (All)

Fine for Non-Payment: $25 each violation

*Proof of eligibility required.

Commercial Fishing Operators / Guide Services

Kayaks, Canoes, etc: $7.00/per day/per car

  • Annual permits can be purchased at the Port Office or by mail
  • Permits are valid for the calendar year - regardless of purchase date
  • Launch ramp users are required to follow all marina and launch ramp regulations
