Meet Our Staff
David Ripp - Executive Director 
On January 7, 2008, David Ripp was appointed as the new Executive Director, bringing with him over 13 years of port leadership experience. Mr. Ripp, with the 12-member port staff, will be responsible for the overall operations, capital improvement, and management of the Port’s 400-acre industrial park, a 79-hangar general aviation airport, and a 350-slip pleasure boat marina. He lives with his family in Camas and is excited to be part of the Port team.
Scot Walstra - Director of Planning and Development 
Scot Walstra's responsibilities include planning and developing long and short term land-use strategies, and analyzing economic development impacts to meet the port’s business objectives. He will also actively market any available port industrial property and building space, in addition to working on the Port's development efforts.
Kim Maloney - Finance Director 
Hired by the Port in 2007 to fill the position of Finance Director, Kim brings her education and experience in the field of business to the Port. Kim's responsible for overseeing the accounting staff, budgeting, and the day-to-day financial aspects of the Port. She and her family live locally.
Greg Ermis - Maint. Supervisor / Project Coordinator 
Greg has been with the Port since 1977. With his talent and experience, Greg oversees the Maintenance Staff and special projects for all areas of the Port: Marina, Airport, and Industrial Park.
Mary Murphy - Executive Assistant 
Mary has been with the Port since 1994, working with the Executive Director and Board of Commissioners. She also works with Airport tenants and authors the Port's monthly newsletter.
Larry Connolly - Project Manager 
Larry joined the Port in the summer of 1998, as Assistant Maintenance Supervisor. Recently promoted to Project Manager, Larry brings a high level of experience and expertise to his new position, which will serve the Port and the public well.
Debra Itzen - Accounts Payable Manager 
Debra has been with the Port since February of 2001. She has excellent customer service skills and works closely with Marina Tenants, as well as handling Accounts Payable duties.
Gary Pachl - Asst. Maintenance Supervisor 
Gary has been with the Port since September of 1997, and brings with him a positive outlook and a background in the public sector as a business owner. Gary's primary responsibilities are in the Industrial Park and Airport.
Jen Blomgren - Accounts Receivable 
Jen was hired in June 2006 to take over Accounts Receivable, Payroll and other related duties. She comes to the Port with 15 years of accounting experience. All billing questions can be directed to Jen.
Doris Tillman - Lead Landscaper 
Doris was hired in 1999, and is responsible for the manicured lawns, the seasonal flowers, and the tidy look of the Port's Marina, Airport and Industrial Park.
Mark Hamrick - Harbormaster 
Mark started working for the Port in 2005, in the role of Maintenance Assistant. In the Summer of 2007 he was promoted to Harbormaster. Mark works in the Marina area, checking the docks and boats, responding to tenants’ needs, and maintaining a safe and secure place for the public to moor their boats.
Mike McGrann – Maintenance Assistant 
Mike is the newest member of our team, hired in 2007 to assist in all areas of the Maintenance Dept. He lives in Washougal, and has a background in vehicle and heavy equipment repair.
Byron Hanke - Consultant 
Hired by the Port in 2006 to act as a consultant and public relations liaison, Byron brings with him thirty years of experience working in the public sector. He was Executive Director for the Port of Vancouver for 15 years, and currently serves as a Commissioner for the Clark Public Utilities District.
Maureen Chan-Hefflin - Consultant 
Maureen Chan-Hefflin will be assisting the Port with their marketing communications and public outreach efforts, helping raise public awareness of port benefits to our community. She has almost 20 years of experience in advertising, public relations, marketing, and public outreach, including leading the Port of Vancouver's communications department for the last 16 years.
